<image:caption>A Gothic garden seat. Not a copy, but an original design by David le Versha. All originals from the workshop are signed and numbered. Beautifully made, riveted construction throughout - authentic 'period' detailing. Unfortunately there are a number of inferior and illegal imitations of this seat on the market. These are of a clumsy and lightweight construction and arrive in this country in flat-pack form. However the easiest way to tell the difference is that the genuine article will always be signed/stamped 'Le Versha' followed by a serial number.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Zinc top, patinated and polished. Many colours and effects can be achieved on zinc sheet, from almost black to reds, purples and bluey greys. With aluminium, the tops are corroded and then polished back to a shine, leaving hundreds of tiny dark pits and spots, and can be made to look genuinely old. Waxing them with a good product means these tables can be left outside, and will only improve in appearance with time.</image:caption>

The tripod foot is wide and sturdy, and of simple, undecorated form, with slightly out-turned toes, as the original stands were made. The main crown is composed of three individual sections which rest one upon the other, over the spike. The drip trays are of hexagonal and square forms, again as original, and individually shaped free-hand with hammers. The whole structure is carefully proportioned, and is very convincing.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This is a brand new design, just about to go into low volume production. Inspired by the skeletal designs of the early Space-age, the chair has a simple but elegant form, with no more structure than is required for function or interest. Initially the Planet chair will be finished in industrial powder-coat, probably in colours such as Light Aircraft Grey, which suits the design well, but any colour can be specified.</image:caption>

<image:title>David Le Versha Products - Cafe Chairs and Table</image:title>
<image:caption>The table is based on an old French pattern, but the chairs are a new design by David. The popularity of the four chairs designed for Anthropologie led to this fifth pattern, which is similar though different enough to stand alone. Despite having only three legs, these chairs are surprisingly stable, as the feet are set wide apart. Well made and finished in an industrial powder coat gloss, or else hand painted and aged. Very suited to bright, vibrant colours, these have been hand-painted in lavender, although orange, yellow, lime green or purple would look amazing.</image:caption>

<image:title>David Le Versha Products - 'The Castle' Greenhouse</image:title>
<image:caption>This Mobile Greenhouse was designed by David Le Versha in the 1990s when the workshop was in Castle Hedingham, at the old Nunnery. It was always intended as a fully functioning miniature greenhouse, with the appearance of a Victorian antique. Part of the unique design includes the special handles which when lifted press against the frame to enable the greenhouse to be moved around on the cast iron wheels. Generally, we age the wheels and leave them unpainted which contributes to the antique appearance. The wheels and axle are removable for access through a restricted space. Each lid opens completely over to the opposite side allowing full access, or can be set open at any position on the friction stay. The Glass is putty glazed as is traditional and painted in several coats. There is a loose seed tray in the top half of the frame, which can be stencilled with your house or garden name. The floor is loose boarded so can easily be replaced in future. Length 56" - Including wheels and handle Width 33" - Including wheels Height 38"</image:caption>

      <image:title>David Le Versha Products - Wardian Case</image:title>
<image:caption>A very unusual Wardian case for growing sensitive and rare plants like orchids and ferns. All of the glass in this case was re-cut from nineteenth century sash windows, and has a beauty of it's own. Access is by double doors to the front, or by the simple removal of the back panel from it's sprung clips. Lined with zinc in the bottom, allowing for a good depth of growing medium, or for a collection of pots. Old clay pots would look best, and we can usually supply these too.</image:caption>
